25 APRIL 2012, Chak Padri Village, Rampur block, Jaunpur District, Uttar Pradesh, India..Moolchand Gautam , 50 and his wife Dhanraji , 45 at their home in Chak Padri village, Rampur block. Dhanraji was a UNICEF beneficiary and since 2005 has done craft work.."Now I help the health worker deliver babies as well as do craft work. It brings in more money that we can spend on our childrens health and education. It also helps run the farm" says Dhanraji..Moolchand says  "This is good for my family. Because of her work I can get low interest loans to run the farm"..The UNDP/ IKEA Foundation are collaborating on long term projects in  Rampur block  to promote women's empowerment through Swaayam. Swaayam - meaning 'by oneself' - is a women's social ,economic political and legal empowerment project implemented since 2009 across 500 villages with the aim of giving women the power to transform their own lives and the lives of their children and communities.
