13 August 2019, Jakarta, Indonesia: A lone fisherman squats on the shore in front of a mosque that has been claimed by the sea beside the protective seawall barrier at Muara Baru, North Jakarta built by the Government to keep the ocean from encroaching through the sinking city. The city is sinking at such an alarming rate the Federal Government is planning to move the capital off the island of Java to alleviate some of the strain that is causing the city to sink so quickly such as the draining of the groundwater table.
