03 May 2012, Kabul Afghanistan:  Students pass by Mullah Aziz Ullah, a local religious leader, at Sorya High School in West Kabul that benefits from the Education Quality Improvement Program (EQIP).  The Mullah has three daughters who all attend school along with his two sons. " I want the best for all of my children not just the boys" says Mullah Aziz..EQIP is a program designed to increase equitable access to quality basic education, especially for girls, through school grants teacher training and strengthened institutional capacity with support from communities and private providers. Program interventions are primarily targeted toward general education, teacher training and curriculum development. The program is being implemented by the Afghan Ministry of Education.
